Got any character pins?
It is probably not so surprising for you anime fans that Japanese collectors are mostly into figures rather than pins.
When I went to Walt Disney World, I noticed there were so many pins but little number of Mickey figures.
Of course, the so called mania in the states are also collecting figures, however, most people collect pins I would assume since there are a lot of them in the store.
Cards are common to collect in both states and Japan. I do not see why there are as many collectible figures of heros out there in America than there are in Japan.
