Advantages of a patent
A very interesting aspect of a patent is, it is not just for the rightful practice or use of the invention. The prime necessity is to exclude others from using and selling the invention. This way a patent gives the inventor the complete utilization of his invention and make him established when carrying it further to the core of commercial use. A patent normally stands valid for a period of 20 years. This is a reasonably long time for anyone to make a mark with the use of his invention. With advantages of owning, selling, mortgaging and transferring the inventor has so many reasons to smile.
