Service Connected Insurance
When I was in the military we were involved in another war in another country than where we are now. One of my specialties in that war was that of a navy diver. The life insurance policy that I had taken out before entering the service excluded payments if I was killed in diving accidents or war time activities. This did not make me feel overly comfortable with a bride and new baby at home. Luckily I found out about the Department of Veteran Affair’s Sgli Life Insurance program and was able to take out a policy that we felt would meet my families needs if something were to happen to me.
