Legal Secretary - No Degree Necessary

You do not need a degree in order to become a legal secretary. Legal secretarial work is mostly administrative clerical functions in a law office. You should be able to type well and have some administrative assistant experience if you have no schooling. Further, you need to know some legal language and understand how things are done in a law office. If you prefer to go to school, there are technical colleges and community colleges that offer diploma programs. Whatever you choose to do, be sure your office skills are up to par. If they are not, you will not get the job. If you do, you won’t be able to keep it.
