Seasonal Allergies Mean Pollen
Pollen is a small powder produced and used by plants for fertilization and reproductive purposes. They are carried between plants by animals, bees, wind, water and other insects. Nasal allergies are usually triggered by the kind of pollen that comes from grasses, weeds and trees because it is small pollen that is easily swept away on the wind. The pollens from bright flowers and the larger pollens don’t usually cause nasal allergy symptoms because they are smaller and don’t travel around. If your nasal allergies get worse during different times of year, you probably have an allergic reaction to pollen.
