Sexual Harassment And Gender Based Discrimination
I believe that it is very important for all of us to know some basics about sexual harassment and gender based discrimination. Sexual harassment is unlawful under the federal law. There lies a difference between sexual harassment and no sexual harassment which means that if the behavior or environment is sexual in nature and it is uninvited then it is called as sexual harassment. Also, there is a difference between sexual harassment and gender based discrimination.
In the case of sexual discrimination, the claimant has to prove a tangible loss of job related benefit. She or he should prove that there was discrimination in harassment attorney compensation, terms and conditions, or privileges of employment. Whereas the claimant need not prove a loss of a tangible benefit in a sexual harassment case.
