Stressed Doctors and Malpractice
I was reading articles in the newspaper the other day about the prevalence of the Medical Malpractice Cap. Doctors today are more stressed than ever. They are forced to adhere to increasingly demanding and ridiculous standards from HMO’s and are jamming their practices to the max because many doctors are simply folding under the pressure. Their malpractice insurance costs so much money, that many are tired of the mess and leave their practices altogether. As a result, they do not spend enough time with patients to accurately diagnose their illnesses or provide them with preventative care, and more and more victims result.
